My grandfather, Nathan Armitage, bought a 49 John Deere MC in 1955 and used it to pull logs, plow snow and dirt, run his planer, pack down the trench silo and to give his grand kids rides.
After he died it ended up abandoned in the woods for 25 years until in 2007 I hauled what was left of it home. I should of abandoned it, but instead I put it back together.
My first outing was with the tractor club plowing at Jackson Farms. He'd be proud seeing it back together both doing something constructive and for entertaining people.
